With over 25 years’ experience in the Medical Technology sector working in sales, leadership and education, Kath founded dendritic in 2018.
Having witnessed Subject Matter Experts being asked to share expertise but not knowing how to get their message across, she developed methods to empower individuals and teams to transform their communication.
Kath offers a unique skillset having worked at Abbott Laboratories in R&D, Novartis as a Sales Manager & Trainer followed by 15 years with Stryker as a Director of employee training, HCP development and Talent Management including leadership development and mentorship. She is passionate about the dendritic teaching methods that are rooted in science. She has a 1st Class Honours degree in Biomedical Technology and a PhD in Biochemistry.
Kath also has a training qualification through the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a leadership qualification from Ashridge Business School. Her work as Founder and Director of dendritic continues across the globe.
An experienced Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon in the British Army, the NHS and private practice, Gavin is an asset to the faculty of dendritic. Alongside his clinical expertise, he is a keen photographer and has an interest in how a picture can tell a story and influence. He is a Trauma and Military Application Adviser to the Board of CryoLogyx (a Warwick University spin-out with a novel method for blood transfusion) and his research on military small fragment wounds led to the award of Hunterian Professor at the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
In his spare time, he has been a trustee of the Royal Photographic Society, trustee, chair and volunteer photographer for the charity ‘Remember My Baby’ and a photographer for 2 wildlife charities.
With his expertise on training and education in the healthcare sector, coupled with a creative flair, Gavin offers a dynamic mindset for attendees.
Michael brings more than 25 years’ experience in general management focused on commercial excellence within life sciences. This has included pre-revenue university spin-outs through to large corporates such as Stryker, Boston Scientific and DuPont. He currently has a plural career supporting investors and individuals through mentoring/coaching of leaders and businesses, fractional support for early-stage life science businesses and interim leadership.
He attributes his track record of getting strong financial results, including the sale of a diagnostics business, to his strong belief in people and the power of “One”; one leader, one person, one team, can all make a huge difference. Michael is a keen learner and his insights are valued in strategy and execution, transformation and change and commercial excellence.
Chief of Diagnostics for DSTL in the UK with a BSc (Hons) in Zoology and a PhD in Immunology, Roman has worked to develop technologies for the diagnosis of virulent pathogens, as well as the early diagnosis of sepsis. He led the response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
Roman won the ‘Millie’ for innovation in 2018 and founded PreSymptom Health in 2019 as a result of the IP generated through his work on sepsis. He is accustomed to delivering influential high stakes presentations for which he has won awards.
The experience of designing and delivering award-winning presentations and innovations is a skillset he leverages to support participants investing in dendritic training.
Adam is currently a Sales Director as well as providing sales training, executive coaching, and development consultancy to a number of sectors such as Healthcare, Dentistry, Manufacturing, Finance, Music and Entertainment, and Secondary Education. He has a passion for sales training and development, having spent time running Sales Training in the UK for a Global Medical Device Company. This included, selling skills, negotiation Skills, presentation skills, Train the Trainer, and coaching. He has over 17 years of commercial experience working with individuals and teams, and is a qualified Executive Coach, Challenger Selling Skills certified and holds a degree in Accountancy and Finance from Heriot Watt University.
Adam has 85 caps for Scotland at field hockey and competed in the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne 2006. He has an ability to bring** practical and real-life value** to individuals and teams working with dendritic.
As an** internationally renowned Consultant Neurosurgeon** with a PhD in Neuropharmacology, Eleni brings intricate clinical expertise with a wealth of experience presenting and teaching. She is a highly recognised complex skullbase, spine and pituitary tumour surgeon who operates on over 400 patients a year. Her talents extend to her ability to speak 3 languages fluently and an appreciation for different cultures.
Eleni thrives on transforming lives, which is why she dedicates her unwavering passion towards supporting people to elevate their professional impact with dendritic.
An experienced HR professional with over 25 years in the field, Richard is currently the Director at Harrison Human Resources. He specialises in organisational change, coaching, and development, with a focus on aligning HR strategies with business goals. Richard has led multiple initiatives to transform workplace culture and boost employee engagement. Known for his strategic, innovative approach, he empowers leaders and teams to maximise their potential, fostering resilience and productivity.
Dedicated to staying at the forefront of HR, Richard continuously pursues learning and development in the field and brings this to dendritic.
With a wealth of experience in the medical arena, initially as a qualified NHS audiologist, through recruitment at Michael Page and more recently as a Senior Medical Education Manager, Rachel brings expertise in design and execution of training strategies for corporate organisations. She has been responsible for up- skilling internal staff as well as building out award-winning face to face and virtual surgeon training programmes.
At Stryker she pioneered the Faculty Development Programme for medical professionals and more recently at Sonova she has been responsible for conducting needs analyses and design and execution of training for hearing care professionals.
Rachel has a BSc in Audiology and an MSc in Health Sciences as well as a passion for wedding and event photography.
She brings a creative flair and authentic coaching style to the faculty role at dendritic.
Dr. Kai Olms is a highly experienced trauma surgeon from Germany, specialising in complex orthopaedic and trauma care. With decades of expertise in managing acute injuries and reconstructive procedures, Dr. Olms is renowned for his precision, patient-centered approach, and dedication to advancing trauma surgery through innovation and education. He is the Founder of the Association for Foot and Ankle Surgery in Germany and travels the world training surgeons in complex procedures alongside pursuing humanitarian work.
Dr. Olms brings expertise in the design and execution of practical education to the dendritic faculty and combines this with a collaborative, patient-focused approach. Known for his calm demeanour and commitment to continuous learning, he inspires both colleagues and students to elevate their standards in trauma care.
Director of a vocational training company with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tony is highly experienced with facilitating active learning. He worked at Jaguar Cars in Design and Technology and worked for 23 years in the AA holding management, Senior Account Management positions and co-heading the soft skills training team. He has a passion for cars having managed the technical relationship with brands such as Renault, Porsche and Ferrari.
His success is down to his effective communication, endearing kindness, and personal impact. Tony has been a pioneer for designing and delivering new training methods for staff and management throughout his career and has an invaluable coaching expertise which he brings to the faculty.
Mr Jake Timothy is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spine surgeon and Honorary Consultant Neurosurgeon at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He has been a Consultant for over 20 years and spends most of his time teaching and training, Nationally and Internationally.
Having obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Education, he uses techniques to mentor other surgeons in technical guidance, presentations and human factors. Favourite quote: ‘There’s never a stupid question!’
Liz is an experienced Sales Education Training Director leading a team who design & deliver selling skills and solutions for Stryker globally. She** improves operational efficiency** by refining existing, and building new, sales training programmes across Europe, Canada and Latin America.
She is a passionate leader in business enablement and the EMEA lead for Stryker Women’s Network.
Liz has a military background having been a Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Reserves (RAFAC).

Si has spent over 25 years** facilitating and delivering face-to-face speaking skills and personal development** workshops. He has a drive to support people to beat their fear of face-to-face speaking and specialises in glossophobia (fear of speaking to groups), personal storytelling, body language and engagement. He delivers workshops with a team of co-presenters for the likes of Bank of America, University of Liverpool and the Department of Culture, Media & Sport plus others across England. Si’s background is in the performing arts where he spent 3 years performing Shakespeare and modern dramas with the National Youth Theatre in London & Barcelona.

With over 20 years of experience in medical device development, sales, marketing, training, and leadership, Suzanne offers a comprehensive perspective on professional growth in the life science industry. Suzanne holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Additionally, she is a Certified Clinical Research Associate and Professional Scrum Master. Suzanne first encountered dendritic as a customer while serving as EMEA Director of Education for a market leader in hearing implants, working with Class I-III medical devices. She now oversees commercial training for a Scandinavian regulatory and quality compliance training firm, helping MedTech and Pharmaceutical companies meet FDA and EU MDR compliance requirements.
Fluent in English and conversational in Swedish, she also speaks the specialised languages of sales and engineering which she leverages as a faculty member at dendritic.
Jessie is a nerd at heart and combines her academic degrees, a Master’s in education and a BSc in molecular biology and biochemistry, into her professional passion of medical education. She has been in this field for over a decade, starting her MedEd career in the neurosurgery space at a large medical device company. She is currently the director of a MedEd team for a women’s health company. Jessie and her teams have built and delivered clinical education programs for a range of clinicians within different specialties focused on outcome-driven goals that positively impact the medical community.
As a two-time cancer survivor, Jessie has made it her mission to give back because she personally knows the impact clinicians can have on their patients. Jessie brings this drive and purpose with her to dendritic, where she focuses on helping others be impactful and engaging presenters and trainers.
With extensive experience in curriculum design, program execution, and adult learning methodologies, Natalie is committed to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments.
She began her career as an Anatomy & Physiology instructor, has been Director of Medical and Sales Education at an orthopaedic medical device company and a Medical Affairs consultant for an innovation studio. Natalie launched global medical education programs, introduced innovative training techniques, and adapted to diverse educational styles.
Before entering the fields of education and MedTech, Natalie was a World Champion Irish Dancer, classically trained vocalist, and professional actor. This performing arts background complements her clinical and training expertise, enabling her to deliver dynamic, authentic, and impactful learning experiences with dendritic.
Michael has twenty-five years’ experience in the medical device industry. He started in customer-facing sales and marketing roles before transitioning to research and development. Here, he launched several innovative products and managed a portfolio of post-market research. His current focus on Science Communication (SciComm) in which Michael holds an MSc, brings marketing and R&D together, helping simplify complex scientific concepts in internal and external messaging to drive deeper customer engagement. Michael has an interest in developing the academic field of Science Communication with a specific focus on communicating to high science-capital audiences. His recent research covers acceptance and understanding of Artificial Intelligence within the surgeon community.

As a flight engineer in the military and a qualified pilot in his spare time, this faculty member provides aviation medicine training to civilian and military aircrew. He currently holds a position as Chief Instructor at a Survival Training Centre where he is responsible for the delivery of aircrew survival and is passionate about empowering others to communicate with impact.
He has an innovative perspective and a fun attitude towards effective training and has a meticulous eye for detail. His expertise around ‘Human Factors’ brings a valuable perspective for dendritic participants.
With over 20 years’ experience in the Medical Device industry in a variety of Sales, Marketing and Training and Development Leadership roles, this faculty is currently the Director of Education for EEMEA in a multi-billion-dollar organisation. He leads a team of education and events specialists across the region focusing on the design and delivery of education for Healthcare Professionals and sales teams incorporating adult learning philosophies and high impact presentation techniques.
Prior to the Medical device industry, this faculty member worked in the NHS as a Theatre Staff Nurse specialising in Neurospinal. He is particularly passionate about the feedback loop to improve training and education.
Alecia is a Medical Technology Executive with documented success in Europe, the US and International markets, as well as startup, turnaround, expansion, and Fortune 500 environments in the healthcare space.
Born in Australia and now living in Switzerland, she holds a BSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology as well as a Masters in Commerce, Marketing and Strategic Management.
Her experience spans multiple medical indications and regulatory environments, including orthopedics, biologics, pharmaceuticals, implantable hearing, as well as digital health.
Alecia is passionate about building and motivating high performing, diverse, talented teams and has an interest in how Education can be a differentiator.
